Conscious By Choice: Quick Dinners with Sweet Earth Foods #Sponsored
If it were up to me pizza would be its own food group. It is literally perfection in a handheld food. And while I feel like I have tried every pizza under the sun- I’ve worked in New York City and lived in Italy- I still get excited by innovation. So when Sweet Earth Foods reached out and asked if I wanted to try out their frozen pizzas I was all for it. With a tagline like #ConsciousByChoice it had to be wonderful. Spoiler alert: they are.
I am an incredibly busy human. And while I’m often busy in wonderful ways, it also means that sometimes I just don’t have the time or energy to throw together a meal that tastes good and is made from great ingredients. I can’t tell you how many times I have chucked a bowl-full of frozen veggies in some soy sauce and called it a meal. Nutritious? Yes, but so boring! I am constantly on the hunt for a meal that is easy, quick, nutritious, and delicious that happens to be a better option for the environment. Sweet Earth Foods’ frozen pizzas tick all of those boxes- and they not only take 16 minutes to bake, but they have vegan options, have certifications like CCOF Organic, and plant-based protein options as well!
I was sent three different pizzas, the Veggie Lover’s, the Protein Lover’s, and the Herb Lover’s Five Cheese, and was thoroughly impressed as to how different each pizza is. You often think of frozen pizza as being the same bland crust that requires the help of ‘outside spices’ to spruce it up topped with a variety of different produce and meats, Sweet Earth Foods however decided that the crust and toppings needed to be paired well! Take the Veggie Lover’s Pizza for instance. Not only is it topped with broccoli, brussels sprouts, mushrooms, corn, and a cauliflower herb sauce but they have made the actual crust with veggies too! The crunchy crust has cornmeal, carrot, and chia listed as main ingredients! It makes for a really fun, well rounded meal that happens to be #EatTheRainbow Instagram worthy! To be honest, the Protein Lover’s Pizza had me a little worried. I’m the biggest fan of many types of plant based protein substitutes for animal meat, but with this Planet Pepperoni and Savory Grounds pizza (Sweet Earth’s own plant based proteins) I couldn’t tell the difference! The only thing that gave away that it was vegetarian (hello mozzarella!) was that it wasn’t nearly as greasy as a ‘normal’ pizza and that is NEVER a bad thing!

And while both of these pizzas were delicious in their own right, there is something to be said about the original cheese pizza. The Herb Lover’s Five Cheese is my personal favorite because the herbs are done so well! A crust infused with rosemary and topped with mozzarella, fontina, asiago, romano, parmesan, and pesto makes this classic cheese taste anything but boring! I will definitely be keeping a selection of these crunchy, crusty pizzas on hand for my ‘goodness I’m tired but starving!’ nights! And they are so easy to come by! You can find Sweet Earth at your local Whole Foods! Talk about convenient! They are available nationwide- you can find your closest store here!
What is your go-to busy night meal? I’d love to know!
