With the holidays fast approaching all of our eyes, mine included, are on Christmas lights and sparkly wrapping paper! I love this season of giving; if you remember when the ‘Love Languages’ book and test came out I was thoroughly unsurprised to see that my two love languages were touch and gifting, so this time of year is my jam! I love gifting so much that I have a running list on my phone of things that people say that they like in every day life, so that if I see the item on sale for a ‘just because’ gift or when a special occasion, say a birthday or Christmas, comes up I have the ability to pull out a list and know exactly what they’d like!
This year, however, is a little different. I already have all of my Christmas shopping completed and it isn’t even December yet, so I am taking the month of December to focus more on ‘giving’ than gifting. I am so fortunate to be in a position to be able to share with others- I never thought that this fun little hobby of blogging and social media would turn into an actual job, but now that it has I have the ability to partner with fun brands, like adidas, and share their love with my community. One thing in particular that has caught my eye as the weather gets colder here in Denver is the number of the homeless population here in Denver with dogs. If you know anything about me, you’ll know that I am obsessed with animals, especially my two ridiculous pups, and am so passionate about making pups’ (and their humans) lives better! So this season, I am creating gift boxes to hand out to those in need, both for humans and their furry companions. Full of portable snacks, warm gloves, hats, and toys, treats, and bandanas for their pups it will be a fun (and practical!) gift to receive. I know how much I love my adidas gear- I have been LIVING in their Varilite Hooded Down Jacket because it is super lightweight and very, very warm, so I knew I wanted to add some high quality cold weather gear into the boxes as well!
So as you celebrate the holidays, I’d love for you to join me in helping out your local community in a way that feels best to you. Whether it be ‘adopting’ a child’s wishlist off a giving tree, donating to your local food bank or animal shelter, or reaching out to your local homeless community like I am, choose a cause that is near and dear to your heart and send a little extra good into this world. I know, for sure, we could all use a little extra happiness!
I’d love to know what your favorite way to give back to your community is! Feel free to pop a comment or a link to your nearest and dearest charitable cause down in the comments below! There are so many wonderful people on this planet passionate about changing this world for the better and I would love to know as much about them as possible!

Hi Kait,
It’s nice to hear about brands you can partner with to help and share the love with the community 🙂 As for me, I always have a heart for kids and old folks, so I much as I can, I make something for them not only Christmas day but any day I feel that I have to reach out and make someone happy 🙂
Thank you for sharing.
Cheers,
Jessica
