It is November, and here in Denver the temperature is unseasonably warm, hanging out around 70 degrees. Now, generally speaking I am ALL about warm weather, but warm weather this far into November? Slightly disconcerting. However, when life gives you lemons, literally a giant bag of lemons, you make lemonade. And then you add vodka. So, summer in November, I give you Spiked Rosemary Honey Lemonade.
Now, I know when you say ‘lemonade’ you think hot summer days but when you add aromatic rosemary that plays on autumn and thanksgiving flavors, and the comforting sweetness of honey, this cocktail turns into a drink that is fairly season-less and super easy to make- always a bonus!

Spiked Rosemary Honey Lemonade Instructions
1 Start off by making your simple syrup so that it can cool before adding it into our lemonade. Add 2 sprigs rosemary, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 cup of water into a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and let simmer about 3 minutes. Stir until sugar is dissolved and then taking off the heat completely add in honey, mixing well. Set aside to cool.
2 If you’re using freshly squeezed lemon juice, juice it now! I love using my handheld citrus juicer, and make sure you roll your lemon between your hand and the counter to get more juice out with each squeeze!
3 Mix 2 1/2 cups water, 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice, and vodka (if desired) in a large pitcher. I prefer a glass pitcher because the rosemary and lemon garnishes look beautiful!
4 Pick out the now cooked rosemary springs from your cooled simple syrup, discard, and then add the syrup to your pitcher and mix well.
5 You can now add ice and garnishes if like, I like to add rosemary to both the pitcher and individual serving glasses!
6 Enjoy!
Do you enjoy lemonade year round? It is one of my favorite drinks- you may have noticed that I have quite a few other lemonade recipes, like my lavender, blackberry sage, pomegranate mint, and basil in my archives already!
