Happy New Year! I’ve loved listening to everyone’s New Years Resolutions this week and noticed one reoccurring theme: drink more water! I thought I’d share some of my quick detox water recipes to help you keep hydrated this year.
While I love the taste of all of these waters, each one also has a specific use, from detoxing to immunity boosting vitamin C, there is a recipe for everyone!
With these recipes all you have to do is chop up a few chunks of your ingredients and pop them in your filtered water! You can refill for up to two days or until ingredients seem like they are degrading.
Cucumbers are great at ridding the body of toxins, and helping with water retention. When you pair cucumbers with the anti-inflammatory properties of raspberry and the blood cleansing herb, mint, you have a powerful (and delicious!) water blend to start off your new year right!
I start out every morning with a mug of hot water with lemon for its liver cleaning properties. When you pop the spicy ginger root into the mix you have a stomach healing cleansing water that is full of flavor!
I am ALWAYS a fan of fall flavors, especially when they are great for my body! Apples and cinnamon are both known for regulating blood sugar- goodbye cravings! (This is a great mix if you’re looking to loose weight!)
This fruity mix screams summer, and the high concentrations of vitamin C, Potassium, and beta carotene will make sure your skin looks like it has that summer glow, even in winter’s dark months!
This savory and sweet combo is my go to infused water. With sage’s anti-microbial and concentration boosting properties, and blackberry’s ability to combat intestinal inflammation your body and your mind will be feeling in top shape!
